SOLAR 2000
The Project:

- SOLAR
2000 was developed by Stefan Skriwan and Siegfried Popp, Marcus Eder was
largely involved with the electronics.
- SOLAR
2000 is a simple and durable solar lamp.
- SOLAR
2000 can be produced without an expensive workshop and produced in devloping
countries.
- SOLAR
2000 comes with rechargeable batteries that can be recharged with a solar
panel.
- SOLAR
2000 has an outlet that a radio can be plugged into.
Project Realization:
- The
solar lamp was developed exclusively for the implementation in developing
countries and will soon be produced at the solar workshop from the Solar
Technology project in Mpwapwa, Tanzania.
- This
concept envisions a robust product, that can be produced with simple tools
and assistance and eventually without electricity.
- A
recharging center for 10 lamps was then developed.
- An
aluminium tool box was then developed for the completion of lamps, which
include all the necessary tools, assisting guides and measuring devices.
- At
a later date, solar lamps will be produced in combination with other
development aid projects.
